Paul Gatza is the director of the Brewers Association (BA), a not-for-profit trade association whose purpose is to promote and protect American craft brewers and American craft beer and the community of brewing enthusiasts. Paul is a member of the association’s Brewpubs, Technical, Communications, Market Development, PR & Marketing and Government Affairs Committees.
Mike Laszlo
Mike LaszloAttorney
Mike Laszlo represents local and national companies in the areas of business, commercial, liquor law, and trademarks. He is actively involved in a wide range of litigation and appeals including complex commercial, beverage alcohol, and trademarks. Mike developed the firm’s wine, craft beer and spirits practice group and is a frequent speaker and commentator on alcohol beverage law and business and commercial law.
Kelly Simpson
Kelly SimpsonOffice and Compliance Manager at Odell Brewing Co
Kelly Simpson started her career in the beer industry at Odell Brewing Company in 2010. She started in the Accounting Department and within a year moved into HR and Office Management. With the increasing need for someone to oversee and implement Odell’s Compliance Department, she was given that position as well. Gradually as Odell has grown, she has been able to give up the HR part of her job and is focusing on Compliance and Office Management, including all label registrations both State and Federal, all Trademark issues and all Liquor and State Licenses. She is known as the “Odell Brewery Mom” but serves officially as the Office and Compliance Manager.
Jesse Brookstein
Jesse BrooksteinMarketing & Events Coordinator at Call to Arms Brewing Co.
Jesse Brookstein began his career in the beer industry working at McCraith Beverages distribution center in Upstate NY in 2001, followed by an internship at Brewery Ommegang in 2005. He then moved to the craft beer mecca of Colorado and began working for Twisted Pine Brewing Co. in 2006, before joining the packaging team at Avery Brewing Co. in 2007. He held the post of Packaging Manager at Avery for three years before resigning in 2014 to open Call to Arms Brewing Co. in Denver with two of his former Avery colleagues. Call to Arms opened in 2015 and Jesse currently serves at the Marketing & Events Coordinator.
